Nelya Christiansen grew up in a remote, picturesque town in Western Massachusetts. She attended Smith College where she was a part of the intercollegiate crew team as well as the women’s choir. From there she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She gained medical experience as an EMT-B before becoming a part of the inaugural class in the Boston University PA Program. Upon graduation, she obtained a Master of Science degree and went on to become a board-certified Physician Assistant. Originally from the Republic of Moldova, Nelya enjoyed revisiting her home country in 2016 on a short-term medical mission trip with a group of providers to deliver medical care to impoverished patients. Nelya is currently a member of the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants as well as the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She sees patients in both the Brookline and Andover offices.
